Comic Brilliantly Sums Up What a Guy’s Life is Like After a Devastating Breakup

Anyone who has been heartbroken will feel the pain and withdrawals that this man went through after his two year relationship ended in 2014.

Video game director Brandon Sheffield of Oakland, California decided to express his feelings, which many can empathize with, by writing vignettes about what life is like after breaking up with a significant other.

He told Huffington Post:

“I noticed there were certain patterns to the way I felt and sort of rolled around through my days. But I also realized that even though my emotional wounds were specific to me, the way I was acting was very similar to what I’d seen friends go through.”

That was when Sheffield teamed up with friend and New York-based illustrator Dami Lee. The end product was a comic strip called “No Girlfriend Comics”.

Sheffield commented on the collaboration with Lee, who was living in Seoul, Korea at the time, and said:

“She added bits of herself here and there, which I think made the comic more relatable and not just for dudes.”

The results were unyielding, honest and relatable.
