A new website called Separate.Us is making the lives of future divorcees a lot easier while also saving them serious cash.
With a small filing fee of $99, unhappy couples are able to streamline their divorce and save tons of money on legal fees using the site, whose tagline is “Divorce is hard. We simplify it.” While certain divorce cases can rack up hefty bills costing tens of thousands of dollars, Separate.Us will charge a base price of about $1,500.
The website was introduced by founders Sandro Tuzzo and Larry Maloney at TechCrunch Disrupt SF this past Monday. In his presentation, Tuzzo posed the question:
“Today connecting is easy… but what if you need to disconnect? What if you need to end a relationship? We’re bringing family law into the 21st century.”
The founder compared the service to TurboTax, a tax preparation software package. The process is fairly similar in that the software converts the paperwork into online forms and translates the incomprehensible legal terminology into everyday language. Users are even asked on a screen during the process:
“Do you wish to get a divorce because you think your spouse is legally insane?”
If you think that you really need a legal assistance,  make sure to look for a reliable law firm like Sisemore Law firm.
