This story has been the talk of the town all over. For anyone that’s late to the show, the creator of Bitcoin has always been a mystery, that is until Newsweek published story yesterday claiming that he lives in Temple City, California.

A number of details of the alleged Bitcoin creator were revealed in the article including his address and a photo of his house. Since then, the man known as Dorian Prentice Satoshi Nakamoto has been swarmed by reporters. However, Nakamoto has now gone on camera with the Associated Press to set the record straight:

As for the reporter who revealed this man to the public, this is what she told Business Insider:

“I stand completely by my exchange with Mr. Nakamoto,” she said. “There was no confusion whatsoever about the context of our conversation — and his acknowledgment of his involvement in Bitcoin.”

Earlier today, Goodman told BI she had no doubt Dorian Nakamoto was Bitcoin’s creator. “It was his response to me that made it clear,” she said, referring to his evasiveness upon encountering her. “If I weren’t the founder I’d be like, “That’s very amusing, I run a bagel shop.”
