A former male employee by the name of James Gist at the Galveston County Constable’s Office in Texas has won a sexual harassment against his former female boss for a hefty sum of $567,000.
According to Houston’s Local 2, his boss Precinct 7 Constable Pam Matranga (pictured below), sexually harassed him for months.
“She walked up behind me and pulls her shirt over my head and kinda held me in a head lock under her shirt,”
Among other things, Matranga also allegedly grabbed her breasts and told him to hold them, she also pretended to perform a lap dance on him and asked to perform other sexual acts on him.
“I didn’t reciprocate in any way and, if anything, I backed away,” he said.
To try to catch her in the act, he tried to hide a camera on his desk, however she found it and deleted the evidence. She then demoted him and forced him to resign.
Matranga has denied the allegations and told Local 2:
“I never sexually harassed anyone. I would never intentionally hurt anyone. I have never tampered with evidence in my whole nineteen years with the county.”
According to Matranga, Gist is suing her for sexual harassment as a form of blackmail because she wouldn’t change an employee document to his favor.
Gist has stressed that his case be taken seriously and claims people are skeptical about this particular kind of situation because he’s a man.
“The reality is it can happen to men as well as it can happen to women,” he said.
