Laura Izumikawa, a recent mom of an adorable baby girl, has found a creative way to spice up her little daughter’s nap time.
The L.A.-based photographer playfully turns her 4-month-old daughter, Joey Marie Choi, into a sleeping cosplayer by dressing her up in hilarious outfits while she took her much needed naps.
She then snaps her daughter wearing costumes of popular characters from modern pop culture such as Pikachu, Sia and screen characters from “Dragon Ball Z,” “Star Wars,” and many others.

Izumikawa first had the idea one day when she found herself staring at her little Joey Marie.  “I would end up just staring at her face all day and night because I was just so in love,” she told The Huffington Post.

“Because Joey slept so deeply, I thought it’d be fun adding little props on her just to send some hilarious pictures to our parents. It was a way to memorialize her growth and little milestones.”
She found herself creating costumes from stuff she can find around the house. Sometimes she needs to borrow items from friends so she can create incredible outfits for her tiny model.
Izumikawa’s Instagram account, where she showcases her witty works of art, now has over 83,000 followers as of this writing. She has received a lot of positive feedback and support from other users which inspired her to do more.
The creative mom said she is looking forward to the day that her little Joey Marie Cho is all grown up and is able to see how loved she was.”
