Entrepreneurs and techies rejoice! Finally, HBO made a show about the crazy life of an entrepreneur in Silicon Valley- and it includes strippers! While it supposed to be as satirical as ‘Entourage’ was, Mashable reports that they really shot for authenticity. Familiar face T.J. Miller, whose character Erlich nails your typical young dotcom millionaire explained:
“We’ve taken great pains to make it as real as possible, not only in the fact-checking but also in the texture and the characters of Silicon Valley.”
Co-created by Mike Judge, the brain behind the series “King of the Hill” and the film “Office Space,” the show follows the life of an introverted programmer named Richard, played by Thomas Middleditch, whose music site Pied Piper becomes the subject of a bidding war between companies that resemble Google and venture capitalists looking to pounce on his compression algorithm.
HBO’s ‘Silicon Valley’ airs tonight at 10 p.m. ET after the even more anticipated ‘Game of Thrones’ season four premiere. Silicon Valley, entrepreneurs, sex, and HBO- this is a recipe that we know will be a favorite for all aspiring entrepreneurs.
The trailer alone will definitely get a laugh out of you:
