According to a few sources, hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is has donated $250,000 to the Network for Teach Entrepreneurship (NFTE), a non-profit organization empowering young entrepreneurs.

“I am honored to partner with NFTE on this initiative because I am extremely proud of the work they do every day, helping over 500,000 young people reach their dreams of becoming entrepreneurs,” said Diddy. “I believe all young people should be given the opportunity to be successful and to pursue their passions and NFTE gives all kids the tools they need to be the CEOs of their future.”

According to Forbes, during a presentation at the National Young Entrepreneurship Challenge, a business-plan contest for high school students run by NFTE, the discussion centered around his advice for aspiring entrepreneurs. His biggest tip was to be realistic.

“I know it sounds a little cliché, but common sense will answer a lot of your questions,” Combs says. “A lot of people get so caught up on trying to be a business mogul instead of being practical, an actual consumer.”
