Boyfriend Becomes a Hero After Swapping Shoes With His Girlfriend For Class

Boyfriends of the world should take note from a University of Hawaii, Maui student named Mark, who knows a thing or two on how to be a dependable beau.
He and his girlfriend Vanessa are both 20-year-old college mates who, although just began dating last year, have been best friends since middle school.
But one simple yet gentlemanly gesture would make Mark the “best boyfriend ever” to many Twitter users.
Vanessa got into a minor crisis earlier this week after she forgot to wear closed toe shoes for her chemistry lab class. According to Buzzfeed, Mark quickly resolved the situation by gladly offering to switch footwear with his damsel in distress.
“When I realized that I wasn’t wearing the proper attire (my professor is really strict on dress code), instead of driving all the way back home to get shoes, Mark insisted that I take his,” Vanessa was quoted as saying.
“Our relationship is all about being weird and goofy as opposed to being super romantic and lovey,” Vanessa explained.
She went on to detail how this kind of gesture is not uncommon for Mark.
“He’s always doing things for me so that I don’t have to, like carrying my backpack and laptop or walking across campus to print out our homework,” she added.
Mark jokingly posted a pic of his solution on Twitter because “my feet looks good in her sandals.” Little did he know that it would go viral. After earning accolades on Twitter for being a hero of a boyfriend, Mark seemed to enjoy the social media spotlight, according to Vanessa.
“Mark keeps telling everyone ‘you’re speaking to a celebrity,’” she said. “So he’s enjoying his 15 minutes of fame.”
Some netizens also commented on how Mark easily fit into Vanessa’s shoes. To this, Mark responded: “I have small feet and I’m proud.”
