There’s an annoying iPhone bug going around that causes the phone to crash when simply receiving a certain text message.
Receiving the text can cause Messages to crash repeatedly; if you receive the text while your phone is locked, it may force your iPhone to reboot without notice. This is the text you don’t want to receive (but maybe should send out for lols):

effective. Power لُلُصّبُلُلصّبُررً ॣ ॣh ॣ ॣ 冗

Some people may be at the mercy of their mischievous friends with this kind of bug, but sending another text seems to cancel out the initial strand, according to 9to5Mac. You can also send yourself a message through Siri or if you have a Mac.
The text is so specific that there really is no way for a crash or reboot to happen by accident.
This isn’t the first time such a bug has caused problems for iPhone users, but until Apple fixes the problem, which they are currently working on, we are all at the mercy of this malicious text message.
